Where art, philosophy, and technology meet.
I create under the name Lady Nakamoto— a philosophical stance against the invisible architectures of power that shape modern life. My work exists at the convergence of politics, philosophy, and culture. Lady Nakamoto is both mask and cultural intervention.
I explore the political reality that institutions—monetary, governmental, and cultural—are sustained less by necessity than by collective agreement. Culture, in this sense, becomes the carrier of power: transmitting values, normalizing hierarchies, and shaping what people accept as truth.
The corner stone of my work centers around:
1) Man and the Machine in the age of artificial intelligence and tehnology.
2) The Bitcoin Peer to Peer model as a social, political, and financial solution.
When looking at bitcoin I take a bird’s eye view. I see bitcoin and new monetary system as part of a paradigm shift in which other co-emerging events are happening. A paradigm shift is when the collective, or part of a civilization, shift in their ways of perceiving themselves and their relationship to each other and the environment. What other ideas are co-emerging with Bitcoin? We are witnessing a trend towards a more subjective reality versus a more rational, material reality, a departure from material reality towards a more abstract, etherial reality.
In the context of Artificial Intelligence, I view humanities departure from biological reality as the single, most radical shift humanity has ever pursued. If humans stop seeing themselves as biological systems, then what is a human being? If we see ourselves as parts, what is the difference between man and machine? These are some of the questions I explore artistically.
Bitcoin is a peer to peer model removing central authority and intermediaries. How does an electronic peer to peer cash system shape society and social structures around Bitcoin’s values? If we are to opt into a peer to peer model of organization, not just monetarly, what does that look like? Politically?
Americas largest cities, New York, New Jersey, Seattle, have all voted in Socialist/Communists mayors. This should tell you something. A large portion of the population cares more about social issues than financial issues or freedom itself. The promise that Bitcoin will magically solve these social issues is merley a slogan at the moment. The way we are going to orange pill people imo is highlighing the PEER TO PEER, humanitarian aspect of Bitcoin. The peer to peer model is genius as it satiates both the libertarian and the social justice warrior. It is the bridge. The end result could be a complete peer to peer American political system, free of government and intermediaries, We The People 2.0.
Money fixes a lot of things but it doesnt necessarily fix people. Mending The Hoop of The People, Peer To Peer, implies that human connection and TRUST are at the core of what makes Bitcoin revolutionary and hopeful. This absolutely does not imply collectivism on any level. In fact the opposite.
The way fiat plays out in the human form is through disembodiment. As we move out of the fiat system we must also evolve as humans. A new system with new values requires us to wake up and change. In my point of view this will be through physical, psycho, spiritual embodiment.
I haver worked intimately with people in my work for over 20 years. What I have discovered is that, at the root of most peoples suffering is disconnection; From themselves and from others. It sounds like a dicotomy… My contribution to Bitcoin and humanity is amplifying this message, that human connection, PEER TO PEER, might just be the ultimate freedom. This isn’t a new idea, it is ancient but forgotten. ie, Jesus, Ghandi, Black Elk etc,.
I view the paradigm shift we are on the cusp of, as returning back to the garden. A return to self consciousness and a return to understanding ourselves as part of the larger cosmic ecosystem rather than masters of it.
We are here to help eachother get free, if you want it.
I work in the medium of hand generated digital art. Using a digital communications platform, pieces are crafted using editing tools, hand editing, hand placing over 300-800 pieces per work. My process is very tedious, while lends endless possibly for artistic play and expansion.
Artistically, I am inspired by my athletic career as a former X-games and world cup competitor in skiing and snowboarding, and by my career working extensively with the human form. Currently, I live and work in Anchorage, Alaska, where I am in private practice as a Rolfer (Structural Integration).
“Mending The Hoop of the People” is a term/vision originating from Black Elk, a holy man from the Lakota/Siox tribe. Like Bitcoin, It is a universal vision for the betterment of humanity.
